…is the name of my latest creation, a pattern for an airy crescent shawl that I made with the wonderful mohair/silk blend provided by L’ Atelier Fibre Laine . The color of the yarn reminds me of the Byzantine Emperors’ garments and so, Byzance is the name and simple, classic openwork stitch repeats create the impression of a crown-shaped motif.
It is supposed to be a joyful, rather quick knit, with an easy-to-memorize stitch pattern that will allow you to enjoy your knitting everywhere you wish and, of course, it uses the most fabulous yarn ever, making this a pure luxury knit to wear or to gift.
The pattern will be available via L’ Atelier Fibre Laine site ; collaborating with Chloe has been a real pleasure and I am looking forward to more such happy moments in the future. I urge you to visit her site and not only buy yarn, but also learn a lot about all her everyday adventures and admire her lovely work. I’ll be back with more details and more photos real soon; until then, happy knitting!!!
