… a couple of books and I do so interchangeably. In fact, ever since my teenage years, I would rarely find myself devoted to one book only…now that I think of it, it’s kind of like … working on more than one knitting projects, isn’t it?
Well, that’s how it is for me anyway. I am in the middle of “North of Ithaca” by Eleni Gage
and I have just started reading “La sonata del silencio” by Paloma Sanchez-Garnica ,too.
It’s one of the rare times I decided to buy the book after watching a couple of episodes of the TV show based on the book on RTVE. I’m glad I did. You can click on this link to get you to the tv show page and see for yourself. It’s mystery and politics and conflicts and people trying to cope with hardships and relationships, I promise you’ll love it.
Eleni Gage’s book on the other hand, is fresh and optimistic and full of happy, unspoilt Greek scenes, a really wonderful way to close the circle opened by her father’s “Eleni” , a very personal and very tragic story that had me moved to tears when I read it many years ago.
I will be able to write more about the books as soon as I have read them (it ‘ll take me some time, since I have also 3 knitting projects testing 3 knitting designs going on, haha). So, what about you? Are you reading anything interesting at the moment? Would you like to recommend some book to me? Don’t hesitate to hit the “reply” button and let me know all about it!
