The beauty of hand-dyed yarns

Hand-dyed yarns always fascinate me. There is something really inspiring in them. Even the most plain and sort-of-boring stitch pattern becomes an adventure when you’re using a variegated hand-dyed yarn. As you knit your way from one colour shade to the next, surprise is always there for you!!!

Two of my patterns for the upcoming fall, Mediterranea (already released)

and Ortansia Wrapigan (currently being tested), call for such hand-dyed, variegated yarn…or not!

Perhaps I’ll use some solid-cloured yarn in the testing, just to check which one I like best, what do you think?
